Lord I’ve set my hand to the plow
I’m resigned to my work
the task which lies before me now
gives meaning to my worth

as each day is given to me
of life on earth to live
I pray that I shall be of use
my life to You I give

what other honor can there be
than serving You in love
by doing Your will here on earth
and soon to be above

may I never ever look back
nor lay my cross aside
it’s You Lord Jesus who I need
in You I will abide

if love could be measured
for what You’ve done for me
the universe is way too small
to count all it would be

humbly I submit to Thy care
no longer will I fear
for whatever reason You call
I pray that I will hear

all I ask is reassurance
to edify my soul
then I am mighty in Your hands
and in Your full control
